Glitch Final Curation

My collection of 10 glitches is a n endeavor founded on the lyrics of Future's song "Lookin Exotic." I started with various AI-generated images prompted by the song's lyrics and then subjected them to multiple rounds of glitching in Audacity, followed by extensive manipulation in Photoshop. My goal throughout this process was to create a cohesive visual experience from a seemingly random assortment.

As I worked on these images, a recurring theme began to emerge – one that centered on femininity while obscuring individual identity. The AI-generated images provided a diverse array of content, but through glitch manipulation, I found a common thread of femininity that ran through them.

Despite the initial disarray, the images collectively convey a sense of feminine energy. They possess an otherworldly and dreamlike quality that isolate them from reality, encouraging viewers to explore the interconnectedness of femininity without the bind of societal baggage, which intrigued me because of the overarching misogyny in the full lyrics of the song. However, when the lyrics were isolated and run through AI the implied social attachments were not picked up on by a non-human interpreter, leading to the ending visual theme of genuinely appreciated femininity. My collection became not only an achievement of a visual challenge to create cohesion via serendipity, but also became evidence of a key difference between man and machine.
