Glitch Brainstorm Blog

My main goal with this project is to maintain a consistent and visually appealing aesthetic across my 10-15 images, gifs, and videos while still allowing my AI generated words, concepts, and images to be completely random and not pointed in any particular direction. I am not quite sure what to expects I begin forming my random images and glitches into a cohesive collection, which has made me feel quite uneasy. Usually I prefer to curate things matter-of-factly and with a high level of control, instead of making connections between completely distinct vibes and aesthetics, so letting go of that will be a challenge for me. Another challenge I will have to come to terms with is my general dislike for the acetic of most AI-generated art. Most that I’ve come into contact with is, to put it frankly, pretty ugly in my opinion. However, as we have explored glitch techniques throughout the past week I have found that utilizing the randomness of glitching while still being able to point the ending visual aesthetic of the images in a certain direction has helped me bridge the gap between what my instinct want to me to do and the essence of the assignment. Overall I’m looking forward to exploring glitching further and making my glitched images a focal point of my final project.
